An ADU, a backyard cabin, part of your home: keep the full bill and assign the rental portion. Building areas, land areas and item splits are optional when an expense needs them. The link shows the copy you published; later changes stay on your phone. Complete app backups are saved separately from Settings.
Income totals reflect the entries you saved, including refunds. They do not reconcile platform statements, gross booking revenue or bank deposits.
doorledge organizes records for later review. It does not make filing determinations. Use the export with a qualified tax pro, your software, or however you file.
We built doorledge after living the problem: receipts in the car, repair notes in Messages, mileage in another app, and property hours reconstructed months later.

What is doorledge?
doorledge is an iPhone record keeper for hands-on rental hosts. Keep expenses, income, mileage, property hours and notes in one timeline. Add property names to find the records that belong together.
What can I record on iPhone?
Scan receipts, import an image or PDF, or enter a record by hand. You can also share an invoice attachment from another app or drag a document into doorledge. Review the suggested details before saving. The release being prepared keeps complete PDFs and scans of up to 20 pages, with a 20 MB limit per document.
Can I split a bill between my home and rental?
Yes. Keep the full bill and choose the rental portion using a percentage, individual items, building areas or land areas. Building and land shares can differ for an ADU or shared property. Rental totals include only the share you selected; doorledge does not decide how an expense should be treated for taxes.
Does my cleaner need an account?
No. In the release being prepared, you sign in with Apple in doorledge and send a private link for that helper and property. They enter the work date and time spent, with an optional note and photo. They cannot see your ledger. Open doorledge to receive the submission, then review it before saving.
How long does a helper’s link last?
A new link stays open until you replace or close it. Anyone with that link can submit under the named helper, so share it privately. Photos are available from the server for 30 days after submission. Open doorledge online and receive the photo within that time to save a copy on your iPhone. Include saved photos in your backups and records exports.
Does my ledger leave my iPhone?
The next release stores your ledger on your iPhone. If you publish an accountant snapshot, the selected records and any included originals are uploaded to a private sharing service. Team links share only the helper and property display names, role and language. The service receives the helper’s work details and photo, and verifies your Apple purchase. Exports, backups and device backups can contain your ledger. Data shared by earlier connected versions remains covered by the privacy policy.
Do I need an account or internet access?
You can capture, review and export local records without a doorledge account. An active annual trial or subscription unlocks new capture. Team links and publishing accountant snapshots use Sign in with Apple and need internet access and a verified purchase. After paid access ends, saved local records remain viewable and exportable.
What can I export or back up?
Choose a year and property, then share a package with a spreadsheet, year summaries and original receipt files, or just the spreadsheet. A separate backup in Settings keeps the full app data for restoration on a new or reinstalled iPhone. Restore needs an empty ledger. Share exports with your own software or a qualified tax pro, however you file.
What does my accountant receive?
A private link to the dated copy you published: selected confirmed records, a downloadable spreadsheet and any original receipts you included. Anyone holding the link can read it without an account. It expires after 90 days, or you can close it sooner. Later phone edits do not change that copy. Downloaded files cannot be recalled. Direct import into tax software is not included.
Can doorledge search my email or connect to ChatGPT?
No. Share a selected PDF or image from an app that offers sharing, or import it from Files. doorledge cannot scan your mailbox, read Airbnb app data or pull in all invoices from a sender. This release does not include ChatGPT, bank sync or a tax engine.
How does the trial work?
One plan: US $39.99 per year, with a 14-day free trial for eligible new subscribers. It renews automatically each year unless canceled. Cancel at least 24 hours before the trial or billing period ends in Apple Account settings. Apple shows the price and trial eligibility before you confirm.
