Property hours
Keep host and helper property hours in one place
A cleaner finishes a turnover. You return later to replace a lock. A co-host checks the property the next morning. These are separate visits by different people, and a message saying “all done” leaves out much of the record.
Keep the person, property, date, duration and a short description together. That makes it possible to look back at the work without piecing together texts and calendar entries.
Give each visit enough context
Record hours and minutes close to the time of the visit. Describe the work in ordinary language: “Turnover clean and restocked towels” says more than “property work.” Keep different people's entries distinguishable, including your own.
Two people may work at the property at the same time. Separate entries preserve who did what; combining them into an unexplained number loses that detail. A recorded duration describes the work someone submitted. It does not, by itself, decide how those hours are treated for taxes.
A photo can add context when it shows completed work or a repair detail. Avoid including guest information, access codes or unrelated personal details in a note or photo.
Let helpers submit without opening your ledger
In doorledge, open Team → Add helper, enter a name, choose the property and tap Send link. Sign in with Apple and purchase verification appear when needed. Creating the link does not upload your ledger or receipt originals.
The helper opens a private form in their browser. They do not need an account or an app download. The form starts with today's date and lets them enter hours and minutes, with an optional note and photo. They can reuse that link for later visits.
The form lets them submit work details; it does not let them see your ledger. Keep the link with the intended helper. New links remain open until you replace or close them.
Review the submission while the work is familiar
Open doorledge with an internet connection to receive incoming work in Needs review. Check the property, date, person and duration before saving the entry to your totals. If a description is unclear, ask the helper while they can still recall the visit.
For example, “1 hour, lock issue” might need a short clarification about which door was involved and what work was completed. The useful detail is the explanation, not a longer timesheet.
Team photos remain available to download from the server for 30 days after submission. Receive a photo within that period and check that it appears in the saved record. A copy already saved on your iPhone remains there; include it in your next backup or records export.
